The national register

BetStop is run by the Australian Government at no cost to you. A single registration excludes you simultaneously from every licensed online and telephone wagering operator in Australia. While it stands, no provider may open an account for you, take a bet from you, or send you marketing.

You choose the term, from three months minimum through to a lifetime. Once started it cannot be shortened or cancelled, and it does not expire on its own, ending it requires a deliberate act from you, followed by a further waiting period. Sign up at betstop.gov.au.

Excluding from us alone

If a national exclusion is more than you want, you can exclude from PickelBets specifically. It sits in your account settings, or email support and ask. No reason is required and none will be requested. It applies immediately, any balance returns to a verified account in your name, and marketing ends permanently.

What follows

• Betting and deposits are blocked from the moment it takes effect.
• Every marketing channel is turned off permanently rather than suspended.
• Attempts to open a fresh account on your details are blocked, and new applications are screened against exclusion records.
• You will receive no retention offer, no survey, and no invitation to return.
• The exclusion record is kept for as long as enforcing it requires.

A break instead

Where something permanent feels excessive, a break locks the account for a term you set. It cannot be ended early. That is the entire point, and it can be extended. A lot of people start with a break and decide afterwards whether it needs to become permanent.

Returning

An exclusion taken on harm-related grounds is not undone because you have asked. Where a fixed term has expired and you want back in, a waiting period and a review apply, and if we are not comfortable we will say no. That is intended, not an oversight.
