The company

Puntaa Pty Ltd holds sports bookmaker licence NT-RWC-SB-2017-0412, issued by the Northern Territory Racing Commission. That licence allows us to take bets from anywhere in Australia and makes the Commission the body we answer to for how we do it. Trading, compliance and customer support are all staffed onshore.

Why bother starting another one

Australia has no shortage of bookmakers. What it has a shortage of is bookmakers willing to publish a margin, release a payout the day it clears, and leave a quiet customer alone. None of those three is difficult. All three are routinely skipped, because each one costs a little revenue.

We built the business around paying that cost. The overround sits in the help section where anybody can check it. Approved payouts leave the same business day, with the release time on your statement. And our marketing list operates on a single rule: nothing goes to anyone who has cut a limit, taken a break, or shut an account, not once, not ever.

How the money works

Entirely from the margin in our prices. We do not sell customer data, we take no revenue share on anyone’s losses from a third party, and we run no casino, poker room or lottery. Nothing with a fixed, invisible house edge. A customer who wins over the long run costs us money. We will still pay them and we will not shut their account for the crime of being good at it.

What binds us

Integrity

We hold information-sharing arrangements with the controlling bodies of the competitions we price and refer suspicious activity to them, to our regulator, and to Sport Integrity Australia where appropriate. We run no market that a lone participant could settle without affecting the result, and we price no junior or amateur competition at all.
