Scratchings, abandonment and deductions
- A late scratching applies a deduction to fixed-price bets under the published deduction scale.
- A meeting abandoned before a race runs voids that race in full and returns stakes.
- A race declared no race is void; a race re-run the same day settles on the re-run.
- A runner that fails to start after leaving the barrier does not void the bet, the official result stands.
There is always another race twenty minutes away, which makes racing the easiest product on any betting site to lose a whole Saturday to. Activity statements and break periods exist for exactly that shape of session, and both sit in your account settings.
Integrity on the track
Unusual betting on Australian racing is reported to the relevant principal racing authority and to the Northern Territory Racing Commission.
